Housing Prices Jump

Home prices were up in March, making the biggest annual gain in almost seven years. The Case-Shiller index gained 1.1 percent in March, which beat analysts’ expectations. Prices in the 20 cities that make up the index jumped 10.9 percent year-over-year, again beating analysts’ forecasts of 10.2 percent. This represents the biggest increase since April 2006. All 20 cities saw yearly gains for the third consecutive month, and average prices in March were back at late 2003 levels. To read more visit CNBC.
