Here’s some trivia you may not know about our beautiful state: North Carolina is the second largest Christmas tree supplier in the country! That’s right folks, a bulk of the Christmas trees being adorned this month have their roots (ha) in North Carolina. There are over 1,600 growers producing an estimated 50 million Fraser Fir Christmas trees. In fact, the official White House Christmas tree is an 18 foot Fraser Fir from Jefferson, NC, and is standing in the Blue Room in honor of all of our courageous service men and women. Many of the North Carolina growers even open their farms during the holidays for people to choose and cut their own trees! Click here for a list of farms that offer this opportunity; build some memories and start an amazing family holiday tradition this year!
