Chapel Hill Festifall Arts Festival

This Sunday, October 7th downtown Chapel Hill will come alive with the work and sounds of hundreds of artists presenting their work as part of the annual Festifall Arts Festival. Three stages will feature music and aerial arts and dance from several local artists and groups, including an Emerging Artists Stage introducing new, aspiring talent. Artists will fill West Franklin Street to show and sell their works, including local artist Carter Hubbard, who has been commissioned to create four large-scale inflatable sculptures to commemorate Festifall’s 40th anniversary. There are plenty of family-friendly activities such as Kids Rock!, where kids can test drive all kinds of rock instruments and UNC Dance Marathon, which will have folks dancing to raise money for North Carolina Children’s Hospital. A great way to get out and enjoy the Fall weather and support local artists and downtown businesses! For more information see the website http://www.townofchapelhill.org/index.aspx?page=1827
