According to real estate market researcher CoreLogic, home prices in March were 10.5% higher than a year ago. This marks the biggest year-over-year jump in seven years, and the 13th consecutive month of home price gains. Home prices increased 1.9% in March from February. If distressed sales (short sales and foreclosures) are excluded, home prices are up 10.7% year-over-year. CoreLogic is predicting April’s home prices to be up 9.6% year-over-year.
