The Fur Will Fly!

The fur will fly this Sunday, October 7th, at the 17th Annual SPCA of Wake County Fur Ball. This black-tie night of music, spirits, and dancing is to raise funds for the homeless animals of Wake County and beyond, and is considered “the most important night of the year for animals in Wake and surrounding counties”. The event will be emceed by WRAL anchor Gerald Owens and features both silent and live auctions, including a Duke basketball game with Mike Gminski and a sapphire and diamond necklace! The SPCA of Wake County is a grassroots animal protection organization that helped over 17,000 animals in need last year. The Fur Ball funded the rescue of 2,042 pets in 2011, and the SPCA has a goal of 2,203 for 2012. If you have a rescue or are just a lover of animals this will be the place to be on Sunday. The Fur Ball will be held at the Park Alumni Center on NCSU’s Centennial Campus from 6-10:30 PM. Click here for more information.
