The Hillsborough Police Department is teaming up with other local agencies and community watches for Community Night Out Hillsborough. The event is a combination National Night Out celebration and community summit to exchange helpful information about crime prevention, awareness, and create a sense of neighborhood camaraderie. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County Emergency Services, Orange County Animal Services and North Carolina Wildlife will also be on hand to present information about their services and take questions from the public. There will information booths, activities for the kids, refreshments, and a special guest appearance from McGruff the Crime Dog. The event begins at 6 PM and will be held on the lawn of the Old Orange County Courthouse.
